Im fairly certain my sweet client lives by that thought process..
I love her dearly and Im pretty certain she held on to these dressers for the sole purpose of grandbabies…
Now Ive had the privilegeof refinishing a few pieces for her,..
including this gorgeous Aurora Green Table
And this apricot yellow dresser!
From the beginning I knew she had furniture set aside for grand babies… Those would be up once news arrived! …though she had no idea when that would be. Once the time came though we were ready! A few things had to be addressed,.. these pieces had to be made special!
Of course, I had to talk to D. Lawless Hardware about the perfect pulls… and preferably ones that wouldnt require that I drill and fill!
I found these Williams Sonoma beauties and couldnt even believe the price and availability!
Arent they gorgeous?! The satin finish and gentle curves at the base… I adored them…
Go check them out here at D Lawless Hardware and they even have them in COPPER! I feel the need to order those too…I just dont know what for yet!
The dressers would both be completed in PPG Breathrough in Simply White and lined with this contact paper I found on amazon

They had made the decision to remain surprised about the gender so this would be an adorable gender neutral addition… and SO easy to apply!
First though to PAINT!
My primer of choice would be Sherwin Williams White Pigmented Shellac. It dries incredibly fast and I love the way it levels out! After that I used PPG Breakthrough and hand painted the drawers and frames. The PPG Breakthrough is a fast drying alkyd. The last coat however I wanted to be free of the complications of brush strokes and debris so it was time to pull out my Homeright Finish Max Fine Finish Sprayer!

Between this and the self leveling properties of Ben Moore Advance, the last coat would come out perfect. You see the first time I put my Homeright to use HERE!
So are you ready to see how those brown babies came out??

We have a tent very similar to yours. I think it was for the beach. We used it at a soccer game to keep rain off of us. Good idea for a spray tent.
